        Gill BooksGill is an independent publisher and distributor in Dublin. Its origins date back to 1856 when M. H. Gill & Son, whose portfolio included printing and bookselling, was founded. In partnership with the Macmillan Group in London, Gill & Macmillan was founded 1968. It is now fully owned by the Gill family following the buyout of the Macmillan interest in 2013. Gill Books is the trade publishing division of Gill, publishing an award-winning, eclectic list of Irish interest titles per year in the areas of biography, cookery, children’s, wellness, history, politics, current affairs, reference, lifestyle and fiction.
